Privacy Policy
The short version. This site does not run analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking, and Koubit does not set any cookies on it. Fonts are served from this site rather than a font network. There is exactly one third-party service involved: Calendly, which powers the scheduling controls and loads on every page. If you never book a call, the only thing Koubit learns about your visit is what appears in ordinary web server logs.
What this policy covers
This policy describes how Koubit handles information collected through the public website at koubit.me. It does not govern information you share during a paid or unpaid consulting engagement. Information handled inside an engagement is governed by the written agreement for that engagement, which is where confidentiality, data handling, and any client-required terms belong.
Information collected
Server and delivery logs
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As with any website, the hosting and content-delivery infrastructure records standard request data — IP address, browser and device user-agent string, the page requested, the referring page, and a timestamp — to deliver pages, block abuse, and keep the site available. Koubit does not maintain a per-visitor analytics dashboard and does not attempt to identify individual visitors from this data. Cloudflare processes it under its own privacy terms.
Requests your browser makes to Calendly
Every page on this site loads a stylesheet and a script from Calendly's servers so that the "Let's talk" controls can open a scheduling window. Because those files come from Calendly, your browser contacts Calendly on every page view — before you click anything, and whether or not you ever book a call. That request carries your IP address, your user-agent string, and the page you are viewing. Calendly may set its own cookies through this connection. Calendly's handling of that data is governed by its own privacy notice, available at calendly.com/privacy.
Every scheduling control on this site is also a normal link. If you block third-party scripts, the buttons still work by sending you directly to Calendly, where the same disclosure applies but the contact is deliberate rather than automatic.
Information you provide when booking
If you schedule a conversation, Calendly collects the information you enter — typically your name, email address, time zone, chosen meeting time, and anything you type into the scheduling questions. That information is stored in Calendly and copied into Gregory Kouba's calendar and email. It is used to hold the meeting, prepare for it, and follow up about it. It is not added to any marketing list.
Information you send directly
If you send an email or reach out through the LinkedIn link in the About section, Koubit receives whatever you choose to include. That link is an ordinary hyperlink; this site runs no LinkedIn tracking script.
What Koubit does not do
- No selling, renting, or trading of personal information, ever.
- No advertising pixels, retargeting, or cross-site tracking.
- No sharing with data brokers or list vendors.
- No automated decision-making or profiling about visitors.
- No adding you to a newsletter or marketing list because you booked a call. Any mailing list offered later will require separate opt-in.
- No entering of website visitor information into AI tools.
How long information is kept
Booking records and correspondence are kept for as long as they are useful to the working relationship, and afterward for a reasonable period to support business and tax records. Server logs and Calendly records are retained by those providers on their own schedules. You may ask for what Koubit holds about you to be deleted at any time, subject to records that must be retained for legal or accounting reasons.
Your choices
- Avoid the Calendly connection. Blocking third-party scripts in your browser or an extension will prevent the automatic request. The site remains fully readable and the scheduling links still work.
- Manage a booking. Confirmation emails from Calendly include links to reschedule or cancel, which removes the appointment.
- Ask what is held. Request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information Koubit holds about you using the contact details below. Requests are free, and open to anyone regardless of where they live.
Children
This site is directed to businesses and is not intended for children. Koubit does not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13.
Changes to this policy
If this site's data practices change — for example, if analytics or a contact form is added — this page will be updated and the effective date above will change. Material changes will be described rather than quietly substituted.
